Preferential Treatment for Veterans signing up for Nursing Homes
at Beveren, Belgium



Starting June 1st, 2008, the OCMW will implement a new admittance policy concerning recognized veterans. The OCMW is a nursing home for the elderly at 5 locations in Beveren. The new policy allows the veterans, signing up for nursing homes, to move up to the second place of the OCMW’s waiting list, providing they meet the standard admittance conditions as directed by their Family Doctors.

The Chairman of the OCMW, Mrs. Ann Cools hopes this new policy will contribute to the comfort of those who once sacrificed themselves for the future of their country.
